PT. CNG , which has become a major player in the NGV industry, is collaborating and working hand in hand with the government to reduce fuel emissions by supporting the Go Green program in the use of alternative fuels for public transportation. Looking at the market potential and current supply, we strongly believe that CNG is the alternative fuel of choice in the transportation sector.
As part of our commitment to revive the gas-fuelled vehicle market, in 2008 we built our first Gas Fuel Filling Station (SPBG) in Surabaya in collaboration with PT. The Bhatara Surya to convert their entire fleet of 507 units, as well as provide gas filling station facilities.
In 2009, we opened a second SPBG in Palembang specifically for public transportation. Then, we worked side by side with the State-Owned Enterprise (PT. PDPDE Hilir) and the Ministry of Transportation in providing conversion equipment. Apart from that, we also support TransJakarta public transportation as well as being the first company to supply gas using an online mother-daughter system. In 2011, the first project was implemented to convert coal transport vehicles in the Sumatra region and in 2013 the third SPBG was established in Waru, Sidoarjo, East Java.
In 2014, PT. CNG is collaborating with a Taxi company in the Special Region of Yogyakarta to convert 20 taxi units and build a Mini SPBG facility with the Mobile Refueling Unit (mobile SPBG) concept. In this way we have created mutually supportive conditions between market needs and infrastructure provision at the same time.
Moreover, we will continue to work together with all stakeholders to promote NGVs in the Indonesian market. Not only building from the business side, but also ensuring sustainability in this industry by providing the best system for each converted vehicle. We believe NGV has great market potential in the future.
